As a Security Officer - Retail Loss Prevention in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Sat11:00 AM - 08:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the retail location.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining clear communication with appropriate personnel.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and along the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a secure atmosphere.

Observe and report any unusual activity, maintenance issues, or potential hazards to the appropriate parties.

Support access control measures by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas as required by site-specific protocols.

Assist customers, visitors, and employees with directions and general inquiries, maintaining a professional presence at all times.

Document all incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

Loss prevention experience is preferred.

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

A guard card or license is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
