Summary St. Cloud VA Health Care System is seeking an Optometrist to care for our Veterans. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Responsibilities The VA Midwest Health Care Network advocates for a Whole Health System of care in each of the Medical Centers. The Optometrist will see patients with a wide variety of eye care needs and must be competent with the comprehensive examination, diagnoses, treatment, and management diseases and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures as well as diagnosing related systemic conditions. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools or colleges approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. ~AND~ Current, full and unrestricted license to practice optometry in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. ~AND~ Proficiency in spoken and written English. Preferred Experience: Residency and/or experience working in setting with comprehensive disease management.
