Job Title: Associate Staff Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Associate Staff member to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing daily fuel payouts, reviewing invoices, and preparing month-end journals. This role requires strong accounting knowledge and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Analyze daily fuel payouts to multiple vendors.

Review daily invoices from wholesalers and compare them against deliveries to validate payments.

Prepare month-end journals related to wholesale invoice reconciliations.

Perform other ad hoc projects as requested by management.

Prepare monthly account reconciliation in Certification.

Collaborate with multiple business users daily for invoicing approval and processing.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college.

1-2 years of experience in a similar role.

Understanding of accounting procedures, concepts, and internal control processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision.

Knowledge of financial statements, balance sheets, financial reporting, bank reconciliation, general ledger, reconciliation, journal entry, and month-end processes.

Work Environment

The selection process includes two rounds of interviews. The first round will be with a hiring team member, followed by a second round with a senior team member.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
