Athletic Trainer opportunity in beautiful Hamilton, Montana!!
Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill an Athletic Trainer position. The Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing athletic training services to student athletes, including the acute diagnoses and treatment of injuries to the musculoskeletal system under the direction of a medical director. This position will work with coaches and students who engage in athletic activities within the high school setting. You will assist in preventing injury through the use of modalities such as taping, bracing, exercises and instruction. You will recognize and evaluate injuries and provide emergency care as appropriate and within the athletic training scope of practice. You will also rehabilitate injured athletes and plan programs to prevent injury and illness in conjunction with physical therapy, EMT, Primary Care Provider and/or the Orthopedic Surgeon.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors or Master's degree in Athletic Training
Licensures/Certification/Registrations: Current NATA certification in good standing, current BCLS (CPR) certification
Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of a large range of medical problems. Assessment, evaluation and treatment skills, along with working with other healthcare professionals and coaches. Ability to think critically and make independent decisions regarding the assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and return to play decisions per state licensure guidelines. Thorough and detailed work in regards to injury tracking and documentation. Must have the ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks with little or no supervision.
