As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Vestal, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence for visitors and staff. You will conduct regular patrols throughout the premises, remain visible to support a secure environment, and deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication. Mon05:30 PM - 11:30 PM

Fri11:30 AM - 05:30 PM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies when needed.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related issues.

Maintain a high level of visibility throughout the assigned area to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted behavior.

Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance concerns observed during patrols.

Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as directed by site-specific procedures.

Collaborate with store staff and/or management as needed to address security-related concerns and support a positive environment for customers and employees.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

A Guard Card or License is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
