Accountant - Entry Level

Description We are looking for an Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Mahwah, New Jersey. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in accounting operations. You will play a key role in managing financial records, supporting accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, and ensuring accurate reconciliation of accounts.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

Assist in organizing and maintaining financial files and documentation.

Utilize Excel and Navision software to perform accounting tasks and generate reports.

Support the team with sales order management and related accounting entries.

Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.

Address inquiries related to financial transactions and provide timely resolutions.

Ensure compliance with established accounting principles and company policies.

Contribute to the smooth integration of financial processes following the company merger. Requirements - Basic understanding of accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create and interpret spreadsheets.

Familiarity with accounting software, such as Navision, is preferred.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
