Customer Service Representative

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Thursday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, Friday 8:30 AM-4:30 PM

Position Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our front desk team. This full-time role supports a busy orthotics office by assisting walk-in customers, answering phones, processing orders, and handling insurance verifications. You'll work alongside two other team members in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist walk-in customers placing orthotic product orders.

Answer incoming calls and respond to faxes from patients, physicians, and referral sources.

Accurately record and update patient information in the system.

Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.

Process orders and billing in the computer system.

Secure prescriptions for home medical equipment services.

Maintain strong relationships with referral sources and ensure excellent customer service.

Handle claims questions and support patients with billing inquiries.

Perform general administrative duties and manage paperwork efficiently.

Qualifications:

Required:

Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (phone and/or in-person).

Strong computer and data entry skills.

Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.

High attention to detail and ability to manage paperwork-heavy tasks.

Preferred:

Experience with insurance verification and billing.

Previous work in a medical office or healthcare setting.

College degree or relevant training/certification.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Morris, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr.
