The maximum salary range is reserved for candidates that far exceed the required and preferred qualifications for the role.Position Overview: The Senior Administrative Associate reports to the executive director of the Division of Research and Analysis and performs highly advanced (senior-level) administrative support work and technical assistance to staff in the division. The Research and Analysis Division delivers data, reports, and statistical insights on student progress and achievement to both internal and external stakeholders. This work supports the measurement of how well school districts are functioning and students are learning in the Texas public school system.This position is responsible for budget and expense tracking, responding to and coordinating responses to inquiries on division products, coordinating vacancy management activities, managing division files, preparing documents, and evaluating and implementing procedures related to division practices, among other administrative functions.Flexible work location within the state of Texas may be considered for qualified candidates. Essential FunctionsJob duties are not limited to the essential functions mentioned below. You may perform other functions as assigned.1. Perform support and technical assistance activities: Perform support and technical assistance activities to division staff; assist with file preparation; track agency and division assets; develop and maintain a file management system.2. Respond to and/or coordinate responses to phone/email inquiries: Interpret telephone and written requests, both routine and non-routine, for information about division projects and products. Serve as primary administrator of division email box by responding to requests and/or directing to staff for response. Coordinate time off with other staff to ensure adequate coverage.3. Perform coordination support on budget-related activities: Serve as division contact for budget and expenditures. Prepare cost estimates for division purchases and create requisitions. Track expenditures. Assign budget codes for telephone billing.4. Coordinate vacancy management activities: Communicate and schedule interviews with candidates; prepare interview materials; greet and assist candidates; manage file storage and retention for vacancies; and coordinate resources necessary for interview exercises.5. Perform coordination support on agency-required processes: Serve as division liaison for agency-required processes such as work activity tracking, leave coordination, telephone service tracking, records management, among others.
