The training department at H2C is seeking a Maintenance Training Specialist to focus on Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Electrical Safety. This individual will perform assignments supporting the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs satisfying the requirements of DOE O 426.2.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform all assignments in accordance with H2C Training procedures.
Become familiar of the ADDIE model of the SAT.
Assist senior Training Specialists with job/task and facility specific processes leading to the design and development of electrical safety training modules that align with Hanford site Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) requirements for operators, supervisors and operations management.
Provide input with training materials which may include but not be limited to lesson plans, student guides, examinations, On the Job Training and Evaluation (OJT/OJE) guides, Performance Demonstrations and Job Performance Measures (JPM).
Observe training presentations to qualify personnel in necessary knowledge, skills and safety.
Meet training development schedules aligned with Tank Farms maintenance needs and expectations.
Evaluate the impact of training programs using learner feedback and performance metrics to enhance training effectiveness.
Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance SMEs to support ensuring training content meets existing operational conditions and facility configurations.
Must have previously taken courses in education or training with emphasis on instructional analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation which may or may not have been included in secondary education curriculum.
Other duties as assigned.
This position falls under DOE Order 426.2 and as such must meet the conditions of the order. This may require additional specific training and/or knowledge dependent on the position's duties and responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
Grade 13:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS), or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
Grade 14:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) with 2 years of practical work experience in training or related areas, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
Grade 15:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) with 3-4 years of practical work experience in training or related areas, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
Desired Qualifications
Previous DOE, military, commercial or similar hazardous facility experience.
Experience in and with electrical safety.
Experience with Hanford Electrical Safety 335 is a plus.
Familiarization with ADDIE model of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT).
Previous experience training maintenance personnel.
Fluent in Microsoft Office, especially in Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
Hiring Range Minimum: $66,338
Hiring Range Maximum: $101,175
