Job Title: Industrial Electrician - 1st Shift

Job Description

Join our team as an Industrial Electrician responsible for maintaining and repairing the electrical components of presses in a dynamic automotive maintenance facility. You will work on the 1st shift and play a crucial role in troubleshooting electrical systems on machinery, including PLCs and basic electrical components.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair electrical components of machinery in an industrial automotive maintenance facility.

Troubleshoot electrical systems on machinery, focusing on PLCs (Allen Bradley & Siemens) without programming; make necessary edits.

Diagnose and resolve issues with basic electrical components, including 3-phase motors, relays, switches, sensors, and wiring up to 480V.

Edit and troubleshoot PLCs using Allen Bradley and Siemens systems.

Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.

Run conduit, pull wire, and perform electrical wiring tasks.

Operate and maintain industrial electrical equipment and systems.

Essential Skills

Experience in an industrial automotive maintenance facility as a maintenance electrician.

Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, specifically with Allen Bradley & Siemens systems.

Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical components including 3-phase motors, relays, switches, sensors, and wiring up to 480V.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Basic understanding of stamping presses and hydraulic systems.

Experience with robot troubleshooting, specifically Fanuc & Comau, including homing and using the teach pendant.

Journeyman card or completion of an apprentice program.

Work Environment

Work in an older stamping and robotic weld facility equipped with 42 presses and robots. Safety is a priority, with steel toes, safety glasses, and sleeves required. The facility operates on a leaner side with two shifts. The 1st shift runs from 6:30 am to 2 pm, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays based on production needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Center Line, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.45 - $35.45/hr.
