Job Title: Firmware Engineer (ACI)Job Description
We are seeking a Firmware Engineer to design, proto@type, build, and test production embedded vehicle firmware. You will evaluate, implement, test, and optimize applications in a real-time operating system environment. Collaborate with software, hardware, and mechanical engineers throughout the product lifecycle, from device bring-up to manufacturing and deployment. Work closely with test engineers and platform engineers to develop testing frameworks and harnesses at the unit, integration, and system levels. Develop a deep understanding of functional safety and security concepts relevant to autonomous vehicles, including standards like ISO.
Responsibilities
Design and build embedded vehicle firmware.
Proto@type and test production firmware.
Evaluate and optimize real-time applications.
Collaborate with software, hardware, and mechanical engineers.
Develop testing frameworks and harnesses.
Understand functional safety and security standards for autonomous vehicles.
Essential Skills
Low-level debugging expertise.
Proficiency in C or C++ programming.
Experience with 32-bit microcontrollers, especially ARM Cortex M7 and NXP S32G or S32K.
Strong knowledge of communication protocols, including SPI, UART, CAN, TCP/UDP, and UDS.
Familiarity with electronics test equipment and hardware debugging tools.
Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with time synchronization protocols such as PTP.
Experience with safety-critical systems and processes compliant with standards like ISO and ASPICE.
Experience with RTOS environments, especially FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS.
Experience in writing device drivers.
Experience in writing low-level firmware for resource-constrained embedded systems.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
