CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer III opening for our client in Wilmington, DE.

Duration: 12 months

Overview:

The Software Engineer III leads the design, development, and implementation of complex applications to deliver innovative, scalable solutions. Acting as a technical lead and mentor, this role drives full lifecycle development, ensures best practices, and aligns all efforts with strategic technology goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead complex systems analysis, design, and full lifecycle development.

Act as technical lead and subject matter expert on major projects.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

Collaborate across teams to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.

Develop and review test plans, debug complex issues, and maintain documentation.

Recommend new tools, frameworks, and approaches to improve system performance.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and risk management standards.

Scope & Leadership:

Operates independently under general supervision, leading development teams and coordinating project resources. Provides technical direction, conducts code reviews, and assists in evaluating team performance and growth.

Required Qualifications:

Associate degree and 6+ years in systems analysis/application development (or 8 years combined experience in lieu of degree).

Strong proficiency in .NET Framework 4.8, .NET Core 6+, C#, ASP.NET WebForms, Web API .

Experience with Angular, SQL Server, Entity Framework Core, Azure Cloud , and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) .

Deep understanding of TDD, SOLID principles, and clean coding practices .

Excellent communication and multitasking skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Experience with PrimeNG/KendoUI , dependency injection , DocuSign/FileNet , and enterprise frameworks .

Background in financial services or banking environments.

Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver high-quality results.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
