Summary This Program Specialist position provides administrative oversight to the Primary Care service line, which assists the following services: Home Based Primary Care (HBPC), Homeless PACT (HPACT), Women's Health (WH), and Community Based Outpatient Centers (CBOCs) VA Manchester Healthcare System. Responsibilities Major duties include but are not limited to: Assists management clinic set up, space available, nursing staff and clerical support availability, identifies when adjustments are needed, and makes recommendations to clinic supervisor and service chief. Collects and reviews utilization data, assuring that all workload data are captured and appropriately validated. Coordinates quality assurance and utilization review activities within the clinics, e.g., patient and staff satisfaction surveys, clinical pertinence reviews, clinical utilization reports, etc. Maintains timecards for clinical and administrative personnel. Ensures that all Health Care personnel have sufficient training to utilize computer programs and resources that they will need to do their job. Acts a resource for and provides administrative guidance and support to Health Promotion Disease Prevention (HPDP), Veterans Health Education (VHEC), and other outpatient departments. Performs annual inventory on all equipment used within the designated services. Serves as the VISN point of contact, responsible for overseeing all Primary Care consults and monitors them for timeliness. VISN point of contact for Primary Care Management Module (PCMM), responsible for training administrative staff on all functions of PCMM. Performs other duties as assigned.
