Facilities Project Engineer

The Facilities Project Engineer supports the Facilities Director in planning, coordinating, and executing construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects across the resort. This position ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and in accordance with applicable standards, safety regulations, and tribal requirements. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, project coordination, and effective communication with internal stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in drafting and managing RFPs and RFQs for a variety of project scopes.

Monitor project budgets, costs, schedules, and milestones; collect and analyze data from vendors, accounting, and design teams.

Compile documentation for project analysis and provide recommendations on proposed change orders.

Review construction schedules and owner activities; recommend adjustments to keep projects on track and within budget.

Review and evaluate contractor submittals, progress reports, and change orders to ensure compliance with project specifications and design intent.

Collect, organize, and maintain all project records, including documentation, close-out materials, and warranties.

Manage departmental calendars, project planning platforms, documents, and file systems.

Prepare and distribute project meeting minutes promptly and accurately.

Coordinate logistics for project-related meetings, trainings, and events.

Facilitate communication and collaboration between Facilities, Information Technology, Security, and other departments.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, operational and environmental policies, building codes, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Assist in field inspections to verify contractor performance, quality standards, and adherence to safety and tribal construction requirements.

Track and report project status updates to the Facilities Director, highlighting key milestones, risks, and budget variances.

Support procurement and inventory tracking for materials, equipment, and contracted services related to capital improvement projects.

Additional Duties:

Stay informed about resort events that may impact facilities projects.

Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions.

Maintain confidentiality.

Display sensitivity to Native American culture.

Operate within the parameters of Little Creek Casino Resort Human Resource Policies, Departmental Policies, and all other applicable regulations.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.

Minimum of three (3) years of relevant project coordination or facilities management experience.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet).

Working knowledge of AutoCAD preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Class III gaming license issued by the Squaxin Island Gaming Commission

Valid Washington State driver's license.
