As a Security Professional - Flex Industrial Access in Whitakers, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment at an industrial manufacturing location. In this access control-focused position, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

Control access to the location by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors as per site-specific procedures.

Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity within the manufacturing and industrial environment.

Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by responding to inquiries and offering assistance as needed.

Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to maintain a secure environment.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as directed by site protocol.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.

Document and report security-related incidents, unusual activities, and maintenance needs according to Allied Universal procedures.

Assist emergency responders and follow emergency response activities when appropriate, in accordance with established guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Experience working at limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
