Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Leads the design and execution of development on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform and supporting tools.
Responsibilities:
Works with end business users to develop, code, and launch complex email and sms campaigns
Translates end user stated business objectives into actionable solutions and understanding end user communication needs and data streams
Designs and documents solutions to leverage automation, dynamic content, data-driven segmentation and other sophisticated Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities
Leverage Salesforce Marketing Cloud tools and scripting languages including but not limited to Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder, Contact Builder, Audience Builder, Automation Studio, & Dynamic Content Areas to deliver highly dynamic and personalized content
Works with the customer to understand key campaign parameters and requirements
Works with other members of the Engagement Services team to provide best practice recommendations to customers
Design and document solutions that leverage automation, dynamic content, data-driven segmentation and other sophisticated Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities to maximize customer success
Leverage a foundational understanding of data modeling to determine data flow and transformations necessary to import and transform data necessary to run journeys
Create automations for file/data import, audience segmentation, and journey kick-offs leveraging automation activities including but not limited to: SQL Queries, File Transfers, Import Files, Data Extracts, Verifications, Send Email, Send SMS
Develop SQL code necessary to import and transform data requiring use of Data Extensions and SFTP connectors
Create and leverage AMPscript in order to personalize emails and add dynamic content to said emails
Identify and define Journey entry sources and decision splits in any given journey with Data Extensions, Lists (or Audiences), Salesforce Data, API, Events
Work independently under direction in order to ensure customer success

The role requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
Collaboration with multiple cross-functional team members and stakeholders, which requires excellent communication skills.
Collaboration with the delivery management organization to meet project timelines while balancing multiple competing priorities.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have 3 years of experience on the SFMC platform in email, SMS and push notifications.
Must be an expert in AMPScript and Javascript. Create a triggered send, display send-time content @contextually, retrieve information from a data extension, write to a data extension, create and update HTML content blocks, utilize personalization strings, explain order of operations in which functions process, use it to format date and time
Must have 2 years experience with SFMC Journey Builder, Audience Builder, Automation Studio & Dynamic Content Areas
1 year experience of email compliant HTML
Experience in writing well-abstracted, reusable code templates and design and execute test plans
Experience testing and troubleshooting in multiple browsers (Chrome must be one of the browsers) or email clients with a strong sense of web design and user experience fundamentals
3 years experience effectively within a team, through task delegation, solutions design, and technical development, in a fast-paced environment
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and customer deadlines with minimal oversight
Ability to understand data models and relationships between data while building email, SMS, or any other function within SFMC
Work Experience:
Must have at least one of the following Certifications: Marketing Cloud Admin, Marketing Cloud Consultant, Certified Email Specialist; all certifications preferred.
Salesforce Data Cloud experience preferred
5 years of Information Technology work experience
Requirements
Education:
High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.
Work Experience:
1 year of experience required.
4 years of experience preferred.
2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
