Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will oversee key financial processes, including collections, cash applications, and billing functions, to ensure smooth operations and accuracy. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for growth and long-term potential within the transportation equipment manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the accounts receivable department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

Oversee commercial collections activities to minimize outstanding balances and improve cash flow.

Lead cash application processes, ensuring proper allocation of payments and reconciliation with accounts.

Analyze aging reports to identify overdue accounts and implement strategies for resolution.

Collaborate with billing teams to ensure accurate and efficient invoicing procedures.

Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounts receivable operations.

Provide regular reports and insights on accounts receivable performance to senior management.

Train and mentor team members to maintain high standards and improve departmental capabilities.

Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of financial processes.

Address customer inquiries related to billing and payments with attention to detail and in a timely manner. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts receivable management, including supervision of teams.

Strong knowledge of commercial collections and cash application processes.

Familiarity with preparing and analyzing aging reports.

Expertise in billing functions and related financial systems.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
