Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. Corporate Functions: NBCUniversal's Corporate groups are uniquely positioned at the core of our organization. Employees within these groups use their area of expertise to support all businesses across the company, keeping the heart of each brand at the forefront. Operations & Technology: (O&T) is a $1B operating cash flow ($1.5B FCF) division of NBCUniversal. The group functions as a global shared service within NBCUniversal performing critical functions including Media, Broadcast and Studio Operations & Production, Content Supply Chain, Information Technology and Engineering, as well as Cyber Security. The group operates from numerous locations around the world, including New York, Los Angeles, Denver, Connecticut, and London.

Corporate Strategy: The Corporate Strategy & Development intern will have the opportunity to work across multiple businesses within NBCUniversal (Film & Television Studios, Media Group Functions, News & Sports, Telemundo, Consumer Products, and Parks). This unique position will provide access to high-level strategic decision-making in the ever-evolving world of media & entertainment. Responsibilities will span from providing financial and strategic support in evaluating mergers & acquisitions, joint venture partnerships, minority investments and cross-divisional business development initiatives, developing financial models and valuation analyses, including returns analysis and sensitivities, and conducting market research and competitive benchmarking to inform leadership on industry trends.
Media Group Controllership: The Intern will play a key role in the general accounting and compliance of NBCUniversal's Media Group. This role provides an outstanding opportunity to learn about the NBC linear networks, syndication studio, and direct to consumer businesses, as well as Media HQ. The position will work closely with the Media Group finance team and collaborate with Controllership across the NBCUniversal portfolio while supporting the monthly close and overall accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting. The role will support the (i) standardization of existing processes with the rest of NBCU's TV & Streaming group, (ii) identification of business process efficiencies, and (iii) implementation of best practices. Responsibilities may include: supporting the team with month-end and quarter-end general ledger closing tasks, as required; helping compile data for internal and external audits; performing account reconciliations and assist in resolving discrepancies and variances; liaising with different departments locally both finance and non-finance to gather financial data; taking ownership of designated reporting, ensuring up-to-date and accurate information is available to the relevant team in a timely manner.
Enterprise Products (Tech) Finance: The FP&A Systems team is part of the broader Data & Analytics team in Enterprise Products. Our focus is to support the Financial Planning and Analytics teams across the NBCU Organization. Our team works with every business unit at NBCU. Currently we are in the process of a 4+ year Finance Transformation program known as Project Keystone. This is a once in a career project that will define the systems used by the finance organization for the next 10-20 years. Responsibilities may include: supporting the enhancement of our current state SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation) solutions to convert them to leverage the new Code Block, perform delivery of an SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning solution that replaces one or more of our current state BPC solutions, and assist with project management of the keystone program that will include multiple SAC and BPC solutions.
Basic Requirements:
Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program. Spring 2026 graduates are not eligible for our Summer 2026 internship program.
Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.
Must be available to work 40 hours per week from June 1 - August 7, 2026.
Must be willing to work in New York, NY.

Desired Characteristics:
Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
Students pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, or related field preferred.
Previous internship or work experience within finance, accounting, and/or data preferred.
Strong interest in the media industry.
Ability to multitask and highly organized.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Knowledge of any Finance and FP&A Systems (SAC, BPC, Essbase, Oracle) a plus.
The hourly rate for undergraduate and graduate student interns is $25.00.
The hourly rate for tech interns is $35.00.
