Our client, a leading aerospace and defense manufacturing organization, is seeking a Materials Manager to join their team. As a Materials Manager, you will be part of the Supply Chain Department supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, strong leadership, and excellent collaboration skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Materials Manager

Location: Fayetteville, Arkansas

What's the Job?

Lead and oversee materials management operations in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing setting, ensuring optimal inventory levels and material availability.

Develop and implement strategies for inventory optimization, lead-time reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Interpret and manage complex electromechanical BOMs and manufacturing documentation to support production needs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and quality, to meet operational goals.

Ensure compliance with industry standards such as AS9100, ITAR, EAR, and DFARS, maintaining adherence to government contracting and defense industry regulations.

What's Needed?

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

7+ years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or procurement within aerospace, defense, or electromechanical manufacturing environments.

Strong knowledge of industry compliance standards including AS9100, ITAR, EAR, and DFARS.

Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Epicor.

Demonstrated success in inventory optimization, lead-time reduction, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives like Lean or Six Sigma.
