Responsibilities
Ascension is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented leader to advance strategic Access Channel Enablement within the Growth Marketing & Digital Experience (GMDx) organization. This role is pivotal in shaping how patients and consumers access care by driving disciplined execution, governance, and measurable value across omnichannel access initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Director, Channel Strategy & Enablement, this role will balance execution rigor with strategic foresight - ensuring programs deliver not only on-time and on-budget, but with tangible outcomes that improve access, efficiency, and consumer experience.
This position offers a dynamic work environment where relationship building and collaboration are key to driving growth. The Access Channels manager will serve as a connector across functional teams (Product, Engineering, Strategy & Operations, Marketing, Ascension Technology, CX, Data Sciences, Ascension Medical Group ) to ensure access initiatives are prioritized, coordinated, and delivered with measurable impact in alignment with our enterprise access strategy. In this role, the ideal candidate will translate priorities into structured roadmaps with measurable milestones, support adoption of access channel maturity frameworks, and partner with leadership to track success metrics that demonstrate improvements.
The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in channel strategy with a blend of program management discipline, analytical strength, and strong communication skills. They will excel at navigating organizational complexity, building trusted relationships, and enabling collaboration across functions. With a balance of structure and adaptability, this individual will help ensure that enterprise access initiatives are delivered with rigor, alignment, and measurable value.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Support
Partner with the Senior Director to shape channel strategy, translating high-level priorities into actionable roadmaps and workstreams.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to define end states and strategic options for access channels (digital, voice, referral, in-person).
Partner with sponsors and cross-functional teams to build strong business cases, ensuring initiatives have clear objectives, resourcing, budgets, and timelines.
Program & Portfolio Support
Ensure disciplined execution of channel initiatives with close partnership from Ascension Medical Group operations, Ascension Call Center, Strategy, Digital teams, Business Development, Ascension Technologies, Data Sciences, Marketing and Consumer Experience.
Manage assigned programs from initiation to completion, including scope, schedule, risks, and outcomes.
Partner with the Senior Director to execute channel governance, program tracking, and reporting frameworks that drive transparency and alignment.
Prepare clear, decision-ready reports and dashboards that enable leaders and stakeholders to take action.
Change Management & Communication
Engage proactively with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels to build support, address concerns, and foster a mindset conducive to change.
Facilitate clear, consistent communication across teams to maintain alignment on goals, priorities, and timelines.
Continuous Improvement
Capture lessons learned and integrate feedback into improved processes and practices.
Champion a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration across channel owners and collaborators, reinforcing best practices in outcome delivery.
Requirements
Education:
High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.
Work Experience:
3 years of experience required.
5 years of experience preferred.
1 year of leadership or management experience preferred.
Additional Preferences
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in business administration, marketing, digital engineering, project management, or related field.
5-7 years of progressive experience managing complex programs or portfolios, preferably in large, matrixed organizations.
Experience leading cross-functional teams, building alignment across stakeholders, and influencing decision-making in a fast-moving environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable strategies.
Excellent communication skills, including preparing executive-ready presentations, dashboards, and reports.
PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or other relevant certification preferred.
Experience in healthcare, digital experience, or consumer access initiatives is a plus.
