Heavy Equipment Mechanic | Direct Hire | Ballston Spa, NY | $22.00-55.00/hr. based on skills and experience | Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

This is a direct hire Heavy Equipment Mechanic position, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their competitive benefit and vacation package upon hire.

Position Information:

Conduct daily inspections and basic upkeep of heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, skid steers, and wheel loaders to ensure optimal performance.

Monitor machine systems and quickly address any electrical, hydraulic, engine, or powertrain issues encountered during operation.

Utilize onboard monitoring systems and diagnostic technology to identify and resolve technical equipment problems.

Assist with minor repairs and participate in basic welding, fabrication, and disassembly tasks when necessary.

Accurately log equipment usage, maintenance activities, and incident reports in digital formats as required.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhere to safety protocols, use appropriate PPE, and communicate any hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.

Required Experience:

2+ years of proven hands-on experience repairing and maintaining heavy construction equipment

Demonstrates strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with exceptional organization and attention to detail, consistently producing high-quality work.

Self-motivated and able to work independently while maintaining a professional, respectful attitude toward coworkers, supervisors, and clients.

Valid CDL-B license with active DOT Medical card required
