We are actively expanding and diversifying our capabilities to support the transition to low-carbon energy solutions. These include Hydrogen, Ammonia, CO2, Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), Natural Gas, Natural Gas Liquids (NGL), and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).n nTo support this growth, we are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role can be based out of most GHD offices including our Lake Charles, LA; Baton Rouge, LA; Houston, TX; or Detroit, MI office. This role involves solving complex engineering challenges, conducting technical analyses, and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders across all levels. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing power distribution systems, components, and infrastructure in support of a wide range of energy projects as well as providing power to process equipment and control systems.n nOur workplace thrives on a hybrid model, combining in-office collaboration and flexibility. Join us in office, three days a week to contribute, connect and excel in our vibrant environment.n nIn an ever changing world, it requires creativity and innovation to stay ahead.n nWorking with an energetic and hard-working team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: n n n A global organization with the opportunity to work and collaborate across international regions on projects to deliver the highest quality product for our clients n Energy transition projects ranging from conceptual studies to detailed design with Tier 1 and 2 clients across the energy sector n Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and GHD's policies n Understanding client needs and providing solutions that meet their objectives n Assist in proposal preparation including scope development and preparation of engineering estimates n Creation and / or review and approval of power studies (including Arc Flash studies) n Preparation and / or review and approval of final electrical equipment selection, specifications, and drawing submittals on projects n Code-driven detailed design work including preparation of electrical engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for green and brownfields facilities n Project leadership of electrical design resources to deliver studies and detail design projects in the above areas n Ensuring projects are delivered according to the agreed scope, schedule, and budget. n Mentoring and career development of graduate and junior electrical engineers within the team n Continuous networking with colleagues and peers in the industry n Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
