As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Route in Raleigh, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and interact with staff and visitors to provide excellent customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, noting any unusual conditions and/or incidents.

Monitor access points and verify identification of individuals entering and exiting the premises as required by location protocols.

Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, observations, and any incidents that occur during the shift.

Communicate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders when assistance is needed, following established procedures.

Remain alert to surroundings and maintain a strong security-related presence throughout the assigned post.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.

An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
