The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) is a residential, sex offense specific treatment program in a modified therapeutic community and secure setting that provides services to over 700 individuals who have been civilly committed for sexual offending. MSOP is a national leader in the industry and is committed to providing services on the leading edge of the comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and management of clients.

Our St. Peter site serves clients in the middle stages of treatment and clients with compromised executive functioning in a secure setting.

Primary responsibilities of this position include:

Providing individualized interventions which target trauma, gender dysphoria, and other mental health needs

Completing psychological assessments

Consultation with a multidisciplinary team regarding psychological assessment results, diagnosis, effective treatment strategies, and risk management

Crisis assessment and intervention related to self-harm and suicidality

Providing leadership and clinical direction to other psychologists, clinical staff and multidisciplinary teams

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D. or Psy.D. in psychology* AND

Licensure as a psychologist (LP) by the Minnesota Board of Psychology or License Eligible

Doctoral level graduates working towards licensure may be hired on a provisional basis and receive supervision under a licensed MSOP Psychologist to obtain licensure

*Note: Candidates working toward an applicable degree may apply for a contingent offer based on anticipated graduation/degree conferral

Preferred Qualifications

EMDR certification or experience practicing EMDR therapy

EDUCATION VERIFICATION - Applicants will be required to provide a copy of their high school diploma at time of interview OR copies of their college transcript or college degree/diploma at time of interview. Copies of the college degree/diploma are acceptable ONLY if it clearly identifies the field in which it was earned

Direct Care & Treatment (DCT) healthcare facilities require employees to provide documentation that they are free from tuberculosis (TB) through a blood test prior to employment. DCT does not accept TB skin testing.
