Overview
The Senior Customs and Trade Analyst will serve as the primary point of contact within the Global Customs and Trade team, responsible for managing day-to-day U.S. customs operations and compliance matters for foreign Importers of Record (IOR) into the U.S., specifically for PCS and CMSPL entities.
This role will oversee daily import activities, ensuring compliance with U.S. customs regulations across all phases pre-clearance, clearance, and post-entry. The Sr. Analyst will manage customs broker relationships, monitor duty payments, and support preference program analysis and qualification. Sr. Analyst will review customs valuation to ensure alignment with transfer pricing and value reconciliation program, identify duty productivity opportunities, and maintain accurate import records in accordance with PepsiCos and US law requirements. The position also involves executing internal controls related to customs and trade compliance, supporting audits and inquiries from US CBP, and maintaining key customs and trade data to enable effective reporting and decision-making.
Responsibilities
Ensure U.S. customs compliance by monitoring US Customs law developments, including other import-related requirements, and advising leadership on potential legal, financial, and operational risks.
Manage duty payments, customs valuation, and reconciliation processes to ensure accurate and timely filings.
Conduct origin qualification analyses under applicable Free Trade Agreements to support duty reduction strategies for PCS and CMSPL customers.
Determine appropriate tariff classifications for raw materials and finished goods in line with PGCS GCT protocols.
Identify and support productivity initiatives aimed at reducing duty and related costs, especially in connection with new products or market entries.
Lead the preparation and ongoing maintenance of CTPAT/AEO certification for PCS and CMSPL, ensuring supply chain security compliance.
Support innovation by advising on tariff implications and duty optimization for new product formulas.
Contribute to risk control efforts under PepsiCos Global Control Standards by identifying and flagging potential risks, including those outside direct customs scope (e.g., tax, pricing, finance);
Support the development of new initiatives within the Customs and Trade (CandT) function, including identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and compliance and data analysis.
Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to customs and trade activities, ensuring they reflect current regulatory requirements, internal controls, and best practices.
Compensation and Benefits:
The expected compensation range for this position is between $76,400 - $127,850.
Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.

Qualifications
Education or Professional Certifications:
US CBP Licensed Broker (highly preferred).
Bachelors degree with preference for areas of International Trade, Law, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
Minimum of 10 years experience in cross-border activities of world-class companies.
Experience using Free Trade Agreements and other dutyprograms.
CTPAT/AEO training or certification - beneficial.
Knowledge of customs system tools and other automation opportunities in CandT arena is a plus.
Knowledge and job skills:
Proficient in written/verbal English language skills.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and SAP structure.
Strong Analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with ability to clearly articulate ideas and proposals to all levels of the organization and drive this work to completion.
Be organized and manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure organization.
Proven process improvement background would be an advantage.
Soft skills:
Demonstrates a genuine interest in international trade and the evolving global landscape, with a strong commitment to compliance and ethical standards.
Skilled at managing and prioritizing multiple projects and workstreams, and capable of translating complex technical topics into clear, actionable insights for non-expert colleagues and senior leaders.
Able to navigate interactions with both assertiveness and diplomacy, depending on the audience and @context. This role involves regular communication with government officials, requiring interpersonal skills that complement technical expertise.
