Join the MathWorks Finance team and develop a comprehensive understanding of the procure-to-pay process at a leading high-tech company.

In this role you will deepen your finance knowledge and your exposure to technology and systems, tax, project management, metrics, analysis / negotiation and contract management. This position offers hands-on experience, training, mentoring, and opportunities to collaborate with professionals across the organization-helping you build a strong foundation for a career in finance.

Responsibilities

Support US indirect sourcing and procurement, with a focus on technology hardware and software and professional services

Partnering with stakeholders, develop a solid working knowledge of the products and services being purchased and ensure key business terms are properly reflected in contracts

Lead supplier negotiations, working to ensure the proper value proposition is obtained with each contract

Serve as the key liaison between Legal, stakeholders and suppliers to ensure contracts are finalized timely and accurately

Prepare and monitor metrics to drive process improvement and track performance relative to procurement KPI's

Leverage technology to efficiently create, fulfill and close purchase orders, while ensuring that key accounting and tax details are captured for downstream reporting and payment activities

Partnering with other members of the Finance team, maintain key supplier and contract data and work to resolve discrepancies

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree, or equivalent experience) is required.

Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction.

Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Additional Qualifications

BS required with an accounting, finance, or business concentration

At least 3 years' experience in a Procurement role, preferably sourcing technology

Must be authorized to work in the United States (visa sponsorship not available)

Strong financial analysis skills

Excellent problem solving, customer service and organizational skills

Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Experience reviewing supplier contracts and negotiating business terms

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience with Oracle Procurement is a plus
