Working for our team, you can truly make a difference. We are currently looking for a Make Ready Production Support/Press Operator Assistant to join our team. The role is responsible for the setup and support of printing presses in accordance with the printing specifications and customer requirements/expectations. Responsibilities: Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures Attains and maintains all defined job objectives related to the planning and execution of all jobs and quick changes Assists in the performance of all external make-ready operations in preparation for changeover activities (changing from one label job to another) Assists in the performance of all external clean-up activities following changeover Cleans ink pans and ancillary equipment Strips plates from cylinders Locates dies to and from the press May be required to work with a press operator to view labels with the assistance of a strobe light Comply with the quality assurance specifications of the customer and MCC May be required to complete the quality assurance sheet and associated documentation Responsible for the cleanliness of machinery and the organization of the workspace Responsible for working overtime when needed and as assigned Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Print shop experience helpful, but not required Ability to communicate and interact well with others (verbally and in written form); seen as a team player Ability to read and understand a job ticket Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements (able to pass a ruler test) Ability correctable to 20/20 (able to pass an eye test) Ability to differentiate colors (able to pass a color test) Ability to input data into the computer Ability to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency for on-time completion of assigned activities Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused and follow instructions Ability to stand and move around the press area for long periods of time Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Assertive and solution-focused Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment
