The Contract Manufacturing Quoting Specialist is responsible for managing and executing the quoting process for new contract manufacturing opportunities. This role serves as a key liaison between clients, sales, engineering, and production teams to ensure accurate, timely, and competitive quotes are delivered to potential customers.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a keenattention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
Responsibilities
Receive, review, and analyze requests for quotes (RFQs) from prospective and existing clients.
Gather and interpret all necessary technical documentation, drawings, and specificationsrequiredfor quoting.
Collaborate with internal teams-such asPAG, procurement, production, and quality assurance-to collect cost estimates for materials, labor, tooling, and overhead.
Maintain detailed records of all quoting activities, including cost breakdowns, assumptions, and correspondence.
Shorr Packaging does not provide work authorization sponsorship for this position.
The targeted compensation for this position is between $ 70K-85K base plus targeted bonus, depending on skills and experience of the selected candidate.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience in contract manufacturing, quoting, pricing or a related field required
Strong analytical and mathematical skills, withproficiencyin cost modeling and margin analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiencywith Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
