Purpose:

Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods sheets and assembly drawings in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or verbal form.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of the electro-mechanical team.

Develop and implement daily work schedules to meet production targets.

Ensure all assembly processes comply with quality standards and safety regulations.

Train and mentor team members on assembly techniques, safety protocols, and equipment use.

Monitor production efficiency and address any issues to minimize downtime.

Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and quality control teams to optimize processes.

Maintain accurate records of production volumes, staffing, and equipment performance.

Identify and resolve production challenges, including equipment malfunctions or material shortages.

Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

Skills:

Proven experience in electrical assembly or a related field, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

Strong understanding of electrical schematics, components, and assembly techniques.

Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage and motivate a diverse team.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and efficiency improvement strategies.

Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools for scheduling and reporting.

Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.

High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Candidate must have a minimum of five (5) years' experience in the electronic manufacturing industry with emphasis on mechanical assembly capabilities.
