Job Summary and Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
Incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Staff Nurse and/or licensed medical practitioner in caring for the clinical patient and providing the best possible individualized nursing care in a timely manner with emphasis on cost containment.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
One year experience in a outpatient medical office or physician clinic setting
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Medical terminology ability to clearly communicate and understand English
Preferred Requirements:
Two years experience in a clinical setting
Associates degree in a related field
Spanish speaking skills
Working knowledge of state supported programs specific to rural health clinics and Medical Assistant certification

Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta is a member of the Dignity Health system of health care providers and is a not-for-profit medical facility. We are designated as a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital and are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health care Organizations. In addition to our acute care hospital we also own and operate three Rural Health Clinics providing walk-in immediate care as well as scheduled appointments for routine medical needs.
We are located in the northernmost area of California and are part of a network of care, including Mercy Medical Center Redding and St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff. $24.00 - $25.30 /hour
