Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's team in the Stanislaus County. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with corporate tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. Call or text Edgar Gonzalez 209.395.2259

Responsibilities:

Record and review journal entries to maintain accurate financial data.

Reconcile bank accounts and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.

Oversee fixed asset accounting, including tracking and depreciation calculations.

Maintain the general ledger and ensure alignment with financial reporting standards.

Assist with month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits.

Analyze financial records to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Support the team with ad hoc accounting tasks as needed.

Requirements

Proficiency in recording and reviewing journal entries.

Experience with general ledger maintenance and reconciliation.

Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting and depreciation methods.

Ability to perform accurate bank account reconciliations.

Expertise in month-end close procedures and reporting.

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
