Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for analyzing manufacturing costs, preparing cost reports, and supporting pricing strategies to ensure accurate financial planning and profitability. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of cost accounting principles, and experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and report on manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, and overhead.

Prepare cost variance analyses and recommend corrective actions.

Maintain and update standard costs in the ERP system.

Assist with budgeting and forecasting related to production costs.

Support inventory valuation and ensure compliance with GAAP.

Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for management.

Participate in internal audits and ensure adherence to internal controls.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2-5 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and GAAP.

Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to communicate effectively across departments.

This is a Permanent position based out of Waukesha, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
