Summary You will serve as an AIRCRAFT ELECTRICIAN in the Production Trades Division, Industrial Execution Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. Responsibilities You will perform a variety of complex electrician duties on board various fixed, rotary wing and trainer aircraft and aircraft. components. You will make independent decisions and judgments regarding complex troubleshooting techniques, modification, and repair procedures. You will plan the sequence and determine the extent and nature of repairs necessary to correct electrical faults on board aircraft. You will be responsible for actively participating in command goals and programs such as but not limited to Quality, Safety, FOD, tool control, housekeeping, use of work order documents and technical directives and special skill certifications. Recognize actual circuit configuration on schematics, and diagrams; Trace signal paths through printed circuits and aircraft wiring in order to troubleshoot, modify, repair, overhaul and maintain complete electrical systems on board aircraft, such as antiskid, automatic flight control and fuel indicating systems; Disassemble, repair, modification, assembly, listing, installation and maintenance of aircraft electrical systems, equipment and accessories, auto flight controls, fire detection instrumentation, power distribution, fuel indicating systems and utilities used in/on fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Skill in using test equipment such as Automatic test equipment (ATE), oscilloscopes, multimeters, meggers, phase meters and frequency meters as well as any other test equipment specific to the trade; knowledge of aircraft power supply equipment to the extent of connecting and applying power to aircraft; Plan the sequence and determine the extent and nature of repairs necessary to correct electrical faults on board aircraft.
