Utilize automated systems to monitor supplies, materials, government furnished materials, stock levels, usage, and shelf life. Conduct inventory on ammunition operations facilities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications About the Position: The Joint Munitions Command provides the Joint Force with ready, reliable, lethal munitions at the speed of war. JMC's mission is to support the production, storage, distribution, and demilitarization of munitions. This position serves as an Industrial Specialist (Ordnance) located at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, which is a subordinate installation of JMC. This position is responsible for submitting documentation and transfer supplies from storage/warehouse to proper shop floor facility. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Research files or electronic supply databases to identify errors Track usage of materials in electronic databases Perform cost analysis to ensure accurate charges on material orders; or Review Standard Operating Procedures to make change recommendations This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Applied Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering, or Industrial Management. OR Superior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as that identified in Education above. PHYSICAL DEMAND Work involves lifting, carrying and handling of moderately heavy objects weighing 25 to 40 pounds and occasionally items exceeding 40 pounds and up to 100 pounds. All lifts over 50 pounds will be assisted with a two person lift or using a mechanical handling lifting device. The two person lift limit is 100 pounds and will only be used for single event, non-routine lifts. Work requires sitting, walking, bending, reaching, crouching, stooping, and long periods of standing. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed in both an office setting and in a production environment. Visits to the production areas require the use of safety protective equipment.
