We are seeking a highly motivated 5th Generation Fighter Support Specialist to support our USAF HQ ACC contract at Langley AFB, VA. The 5th Generation Fighter Support Specialist provides HQ ACC A5/8/9 functional onsite support, which includes the establishment of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) standards; generation of requirements for Cross Domain Solutions supporting Combat Air Force (CAF) Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) and Live, Virtual & Constructive (LVC) training programs; generation of requirements for CAF DMO training centers, including the Distributed Training Center (DTC), the USAF Warfare Center Virtual Test & Training Center (VTTC), and any future initiatives; development of capability requirements for Fighters, Bombers, and C2ISR DMO and LVC platforms; and integration of F-16, F-15, Fifth Generation aircraft, and Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) systems into Mission Training Centers (MTCs).
Responsibilities
The 5th Generation Fighter Support shall collaborate and interface with other MAJCOMs, Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Joint Services and Coalition training partners, and System Program Offices (SPO) for management of simulator/DMO and the Operations & Integration (O&I) programs.
Collaborate and interface with Functional Area Managers (FAM) in the development of Ready Aircrew Program (RAP) tasking and MTC/DMO requirements, Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS), Operations and Maintenance (O&M), various acquisition activities, logistics and procurement in support of the USAF OTTI.
Assist in developing, refining, and producing life cycle management plans in support of integrating DMO systems with the Mission Training Centers (MTCs).
Maintain in-depth knowledge of M&S, DMO, and LVC concepts to provide technical and analytical assistance in the development, validation, and coordination of DMO capability requirements documents and assist integration of CAF DMO capability requirement into weapon system MTC programs. This includes but is not limited to Simulator Common Architecture Requirements and Standard (SCARS), Common Synthetic Training Environment (CSTE), and Joint Simulation Environment (JSE).
Assist in collaboration and interface with Functional Area Managers to develop weapon system training device requirements, resolution of training issues and shortfalls, and provide recommendations and guidance for simulator enhancements to support RAP training and POM submissions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from accredited university
Active Top Secret clearance, must be able to obtain and maintain SCI and SAP
Hands-on 5th Generation fighter rated experience
Experience with various DoD Test and Training facilities and events (VTTC, DTC, DMOC, Red Flag, Fallon ITF, etc.)
Three (3) years' experience at MAJCOM or higher-level staff position (combination of active duty, government service, or contractor
Three (3) years' experience in M&S, DMO, and LVC
Three (3) years' experience designing, planning, preparing, executing, and providing documented assessments of DMO and other combat readiness programs or plans
Three (3) years' experience in producing reports to indicate investigation methodology, evaluation processes, and recommendations for new LVC technologies and training concepts for inclusion into CAF's DMO and other readiness programs
Experience providing analytical and conceptual studies on readiness-related efforts and LVC technologies.
Experience analyzing technical and operational impacts, cost, and training benefit of proposed changes in a resource-constrained environment and propose changes to programs to MAJCOM level leadership to meet operational capabilities and addressing operational needs.
Experience participating and collaborating on DMO/LVC and M&S working groups and meetings to develop possible solutions for integration and interoperability problems.
Three (3) years' experience working in Requirements, Operations, and/or SPO capabilities and responsibilities
Experience with JCIDS staffing processes and requirements development.
Experience in preparing and presenting high level briefings, Bullet Background Papers (BBPs), and Technical Reports
Knowledge of CAF Training Requirements
Schedule
Core hours are from 0800-1700 M-F - you can work with your customer leadership to set hours
You can flex time during the 2 week pay cycle - avoid using PTO for appointments
A compressed work schedule may be available at the discretion of work center leadership (i.e.4/10 or 9/80)
