Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented warehouse worker to manage shipping and receiving operations on a day shift. The position starts with an hourly rate of $21 and offers opportunities for pay raises and evaluations upon permanent placement.

Responsibilities

Ensure proper documentation using the MRP System for tracking shipments.

Manage both outbound and inbound shipments, including dealing with receipts and delays.

Assist in maintaining the stock room and perform inventory management tasks.

Utilize Excel for data entry and manage inventory accuracy and tracking.

Handle invoicing, scanning, and potentially operate a forklift if qualified.

Engage in physical tasks such as climbing stairs, lifting, and bending as needed.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving.

Experience with inventory control and document management systems.

Strong Excel skills for data entry and inventory tracking.

Ability to manage outbound and inbound freight efficiently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with invoicing and scanning.

Forklift operation is a plus but not required.

Background in companies like FedEx or DHL is advantageous.

Self-motivated with a strong analytical mindset.

Work Environment

The role typically starts at 6 AM, though start times can vary from 6 to 9 AM as needed. The position involves a mix of computer-based work and physical tasks in a dynamic warehouse setting

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davis, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
