Description

A Legal Secretary is responsible for providing administrative support to lawyers, legal teams, or legal departments, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills who can support research initiatives and assist with project coordination. The ideal candidate will excel in managing data, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of assignments. For more information, please contact Erica Huggins at 808.452.0256. Primary Responsibilities:

Perform administrative duties including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling incoming and outgoing correspondence.

Prepare and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, briefs, and other legal materials.

File and organize legal documents, both electronically and physically, ensuring compliance with legal procedures and confidentiality standards.

Conduct legal research and compile case-related documentation.

Liaise with clients, witnesses, and court personnel on behalf of attorneys.

Manage billing, including tracking billable hours, preparing invoices, and ensuring accurate records.

Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for attorneys as required.

Maintain office supplies and handle vendor relationships when necessary.

Requirements

Key Requirements:

Prior experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar role is often preferred.

Proficiency in legal software, filing systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
