We are seeking a detail-oriented Loan Specialist to join our team at Zions Bank in Midvale, Utah. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting our lending teams by ensuring the accuracy and compliance of loan documentation throughout the loan process. You will collaborate closely with both internal and external partners to facilitate smooth loan closings, maintain regulatory compliance, and deliver exceptional service to our clients. Responsibilities
Work directly with lending teams to collect, review, and distribute approved loan due diligence items necessary for loan documentation preparation.
Ensure appropriate fees and expenses are recorded accurately; notify lending teams of missing or incorrect items requiring action.
Collaborate with loan operations to ensure loan documents are prepared in accordance with credit approval, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements.
Review executed loan packages for accuracy and compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.
Ensure appropriate approvals, waivers, and exceptions are obtained as needed.
Submit final loan packages to loan operations for funding and boarding.
Apply standard practices and procedures to routine projects and duties, solving problems of limited scope.
Maintain solid organizational and customer service skills while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Communicate effectively with inter-organizational and external client contacts on routine matters.
Utilize PC and various word processing, spreadsheet, or related software for documentation and reporting.
Qualifications
1+ year of loan documentation, review, closing, or other directly related experience.
Working knowledge of general loan documentation, loan closing processes and procedures, lending policies, compliance, and lending regulations.
Ability to review, read, and interpret loan documentation; knowledge of due diligence and risk management requirements.
Must be accurate, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task while meeting deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Solid interpersonal and customer service skills.
Working knowledge of PCs and various word processing, spreadsheet, or related software.
Solid research and audit skills.
Ability to work under normal supervision, following established directions and receiving some work instruction.
Must possess numeric and verbal aptitudes.
Requires a High School diploma or equivalent. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
