Required: Must be a Licensed Engineer with a Mechanical or Civil Engineering background in modular construction, building construction, or traditional commercial construction.
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering is required.
The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Mechanical Engineer, PE to join our multidisciplinary MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of mechanical systems within complex building projects, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and sustainability standards. You will collaborate closely with architects, electrical and plumbing engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver efficient, cost-effective, and code-compliant MEP solutions. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and problem-solving skills to support all phases of project development - from concept through construction and commissioning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and Planning: Prepare and review detailed mechanical and MEP system designs, specifications, and cost estimates. Ensure integration of mechanical systems with architectural, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.
Project Execution: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and MEP equipment. Supervise on-site activities to ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and safety protocols.
Quality Control: Inspect work for compliance with design intent, technical standards, and applicable codes. Review submittals, shop drawings, and material selections to ensure alignment with project requirements.
Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues. Participate in project meetings and provide expert guidance on design and construction challenges.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation. Prepare technical reports, submittal logs, and progress updates throughout the project lifecycle.
BIM Coordination: Utilize Revit MEP and other BIM tools to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, detect clashes, and ensure seamless system integration.
Problem Solving: Identify, analyze, and resolve complex mechanical or interdisciplinary MEP issues during design and construction phases.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all mechanical system designs comply with relevant building codes, energy standards, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Experience: Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in MEP system design, project management, and construction oversight.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong understanding of mechanical and MEP design principles.
Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Inventor and related design software.
Experience with BIM coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Knowledge of applicable building codes, energy standards, and safety regulations.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Other Requirements: Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed. Availability for emergency response or after-hours project support when required. Work Environment -
