Job Title: Construction Project CoordinatorJob Description

The Construction Project Coordinator will support Construction Project Managers with new customer construction projects involving one of the state's largest utilities. The role entails managing projects from approved design through execution, including planning, scheduling, construction, energization, as-builts, restoration, and closeout. The coordinator will collaborate with various internal stakeholders, ensuring all project steps are completed promptly, balancing multiple tasks to meet customer expectations. The position requires interpreting and coordinating work across departments to fulfill project requirements, with some supervision.

Responsibilities

Evaluate needs for easements and/or permits.

Verify field readiness for work execution.

Ensure material availability for timely construction.

Schedule field work orders to meet in-service expectations.

Update status, tasks, and dates in the Work-Management System.

Communicate with external and internal agencies and respond to stakeholder inquiries.

Troubleshoot and resolve design issues with internal design support consultation.

Essential Skills

Construction management and project management experience.

Knowledge of company standards, tariffs, and applicable codes.

Familiarity with electrical systems and transmission and distribution construction standards.

Proficiency with computer tools, including AutoCAD and work management systems.

Ability to understand and apply engineering and design concepts.

Capability to plan, organize, design, coordinate, and manage multiple projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business or related field with one year of project management experience; OR Associate Degree with three years of relevant experience; OR High School Diploma with five years of related experience.

Valid driver's license.

Basic knowledge of the utility industry.

Strong analytical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Effective written and oral communication skills.

Work Environment

The position offers a hybrid work schedule, with work-from-home on Mondays and Fridays (potential fieldwork travel as needed) and office work at the Salem PGE office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The work environment includes both office and field settings.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Salem, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
