Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Lee, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in financial operations and reporting within the manufacturing industry. As an integral part of the team, you will oversee daily accounting functions, support month-end processes, and contribute to financial planning and analysis.

Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processes.

Lead and execute month-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial data.

Develop and present financial reports that provide insights into business performance.

Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting efforts, offering analytical support for projections.

Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses to assist with strategic decision-making.

Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to streamline processes and enhance reporting accuracy.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Work closely with other departments to provide financial guidance and support.

Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting operations. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting management, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and financial reporting.

Expertise in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis.

Ability to analyze financial data and deliver meaningful insights.

Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting processes and tools.
