Job Description Summary
The Global Wind Manufacturing EHS Advisor will play a critical role in enhancing and enforcing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards across GE Vernova's Wind Manufacturing organization and fixed facilities by ensuring consistent execution of EHS programs and standards. This role will be responsible for working across all plants to drive down Level A,B and C incident rates, ensure strong PSE reporting, and drive non-compliance down and ensure timely closure of EHS actions. They will achieve this by promoting a safe working environment and minimizing risks associated with manufacturing and fixed facilities across various countries and continents, this position is critical developing and implementing strategic EHS initiatives. Reporting directly to the Global EHS Leader for Wind, the role will work closely with the Global Manufacturing Leader and local EHS Manufacturing leads to ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance are maintained. By implementing effective EHS policies, the EHS Manufacturing Advisor directly contributes to the organization's overall objectives, helping to foster a culture of safety and compliance that enhances productivity and protects the well-being of employees.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic global manufacturing EHS initiatives, aligned with Wind EHS strategies, aimed at accident prevention and environmental compliance including but not limited to consistent integration of Life Saving Rules into daily manufacturing operations.
Manage small team of EHS professionals and leads supporting fixed facilities in support of safety and environmental compliance/impact assessments.
Work across all plants/fixed facilities to link global standard requirements across all blade plants including but not limited to standard processes for material management (e.g. PFAs), environmental impact analysis, new material evaluations, etc.
Serve as a key liaison with EHS manufacturing leaders and senior global manufacturing leaders on EHS matters, providing regular updates on performance, metrics, challenges and compliance status to drive continuous improvement.
Lead the rollout and track progress of EHS programs and initiatives across all plants/fixed facilities in conjunction with the local manufacturing EHS Leads to ensure a consistent and disciplined approach to EHS.
Lead EHS risk assessments for manufacturing design and material changes applicable across multiple plants to drive a common practices and alignment.
Partner with local manufacturing EHS Leaders to ensure adequate resources in required locations with relevant skills and experience, best practice sharing and support in addressing challenges.
Provide guidance and mentorship to global manufacturing leadership to champion a culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement within the organization.
Lead, in partnership with manufacturing operational leaders, Level A, B and PSE incident investigations, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Engage with key contractor leaders on EHS priorities and drive alignment for contractor roles and responsibilities in ensuring safe work execution (e.g. Life Saving Rule integration). Work with plant site teams to understand concerns with key contractor, as well as collaborate to problem solve current and future issues.
Regularly interact across regional EHS teams to ensure alignment and performance assurance trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or EHS related field. Advanced degree and Industrial Hygiene experience preferred
Extensive experience in EHS management or executing EHS programs in the renewable energy sector.
Proven track record in leading EHS initiatives in a multinational, multicultural environment. Manufacturing experience desired.
Strong understanding of global EHS regulations and standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to influence and drive change at all organizational levels.

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $147,900.00 - $246,500.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 15%.
