Amcor is currently searching for individuals to join our Shelbyville - Liquids production plant!
SHIFT AVAILABLE:
Lamination Helper: 2-2-3 12-hour Straight Nights, 7:00-7:00!
Fluid Tech: 2-2-3 12-hour Straight Days or Nights, 7:00-7:00!
Recycle Attendants: 2-2-3 12-hour Straight Days, 7:00-7:00!
Every other weekend off!
STARTING PAY:
Press Helpers - $18.36+/hour - Based on skillset and experience!
Lamination Helpers - $18.27+/hour - Based on skillset and experience!
Fluid Technician -_ $18.68+/hour - _Based on skillset and experience!
Recycle Attendants - $18.27+/hour - Based on skillset and experience!
Plus $1.50 night shift premium!

WHAT PRESS HELPERS GET TO DO
Follows safe operating procedures and complies with all EHS and GPM guidelines to ensure that only the highest safety standard is maintained.
Performs tasks within acceptable limits for quality, quantity, sanitation and timeliness of completion, paying particular attention to prevent and eliminate costly errors.
Meets company's attendance requirements, including timely reporting of absence and working overtime as requested
Checks and inspects material received from prior operations to verify accuracy and conformance to customer's specifications.
Prepares make-ready for upcoming jobs (such as speedwells, color standards, cylinders, color keys, trolley's, inks and doctor blades.
Stages material for upcoming jobs and takes raw material samples to lab for testing prior to production.
Checks and monitors viscosities regularly.
Orders raw materials and wets for upcoming jobs.
Hangs rolls of incoming material and prepares for splicing.
Learns basic machine operation.
Fills in for assistant as needed.
Maintains a neat and orderly work area in accordance to 5S standards, by cleaning spills and disposing of trash on a timely basis
Participate in on-the-job training and instruction to learn other job tasks.
Complies with company policies and performs other duties as assigned.
WHAT LAMINATION HELPERS GET TO DO
Follows safe operating procedures and complies with all EHS and GPM guidelines to ensure that only the highest safety standard is maintained.
Performs tasks within acceptable limits for quality, quantity, sanitation and timeliness of completion, paying particular attention to prevent and eliminate costly errors
Meets company's attendance requirements, including timely reporting of absence and working overtime as requested
Assists the Operator in the setup and operation of a web fed machine to laminate or coat roll stock
Prepares make-readies for upcoming jobs (such as speedwells, solvents, cylinders, trollies, material), as directed by the operator.
Checks and monitors viscosities regularly.
Complies with all process change control policies and procedures.
Performs tasks within acceptable limits for quality, quantity, sanitation and timeliness of completion, paying particular attention to prevent and eliminate costly errors
Follows instructions of Operator to maintain maximum machine efficiency and product quality
Complies with sanitation guidelines and good manufacturing practices (GMP) related to neatness, product cleanliness and personal hygiene.
Checks and inspects material received from prior operations to verify accuracy and conformance to customer's specifications.
Maintains a neat and orderly work area in accordance to 5S standards, by cleaning spills and disposing of trash on a timely basis
Participates in on the job training and instruction to learn other job tasks
Complies with Company policies and perform other duties as assigned
WHAT FLUID TECHNICIANS GET TO DO
Follows all Company policies and procedures related to safety. Maintains only the highest safety standards by wearing proper PPE, etc.
Performs tasks within acceptable limits for quality, quantity, sanitation, and timeliness of completion, paying particular attention to prevent and eliminate costly errors.
Meets company's attendance requirements including timely reporting of absence and working overtime as requested.
Mix and stage adhesives needed to meet the needs of the lamination schedule.
"QC" mixed adhesives in the mixing room.
Monitor adhesive requirements at the laminator and deliver adhesive to laminators in a timely manner to ensure laminators have adequate adhesive supply to run continuously. Deliver and return empty totes and drums from the laminators.
Makes solvent blends for laminators - ensure the correct solvent blend is being used per laminator schedule and laminator set up sheet
Maintains complete and accurate records of adhesive/solvents usage
Responsible for recording, labeling ink containers (drums, buckets, etc.)
Receive (unload) adhesives, load used drums onto trucks, transport adhesives and solvents within the mixing and outside storage areas
Responsible for handing waste in in accordance with hazardous waste
Maintains a neat and orderly work area, in accordance to 5S Standards, by cleaning spills and disposing of trash on a timely basis.
Participates in on-the-job training and instruction to learn other job tasks.
Complies with Company policies and performs other duties as assigned.
WHAT RECYCLE ATTENDANTS GET TO DO
Follows safe operating procedures and complies with all EHS and GPM guidelines to ensure that only the highest safety standard is maintained.
Performs tasks within acceptable limits for quality, quantity, sanitation, and timeliness of completion, paying particular attention to prevent and eliminate costly errors.
Meets Company's attendance requirements, including timely reporting of absence and working overtime, as requested.
Loads and unloads trailers. Moves and stages materials throughout the plant/warehouse for efficient production of goods and an accurate record of materials.
Checks and inspects material received from prior operations to verify accuracy and conformance to specifications on Sales Order Form
Complies with sanitation guidelines and good manufacturing practices related to neatness, product cleanliness and personal hygiene.
Maintains a neat and orderly work area, in accordance to 5S Standards, by cleaning spills and disposing of trash on a timely basis.
Participates in on-the-job training and instruction to learn other job tasks.
Complies with Company policies and performing other duties as assigned
