Job Title: A&P Mechanic - Gulfstream Experience

This position offers an opportunity for experienced A&P Mechanics, particularly those with Gulfstream experience. It is a contract or contract-to-hire role with the potential for direct hire. The role involves performing routine maintenance and major inspections on aircraft.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and major inspections on aircraft.

Remove and reinstall engines

Conduct operational checks and engine runs to ensure air-worthiness prior to departure.

Inspect aircraft in accordance with OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance manuals.

Evaluate removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies.

Reinstall and test components after completed inspection.

Troubleshoot and repair airframe systems such as hydraulics and landing gear.

Document all work accomplished clearly, concisely, and accurately.

Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives as required.

Read and interpret maintenance manual procedures, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams.

Analyze mechanical problems to determine cause and best method of repair.

Test operation and adjust, as required, engines, engine controls, propellers, landing gear, hydraulic systems, and flight controls.

Repair fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling, and pressurization systems.

Essential Skills

Previous Gulfstream aircraft maintenance experience

Authorized to work in the US.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid FAA approved Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License with minimum of 3 years of experience.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Capability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day, and walk long distances.

Ability to bend, stretch, crawl, and climb ladders to access difficult areas within the aircraft.

Willingness to work outside in extreme temperatures and inclement weather.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Factory authorized training on assigned aircraft is preferred.

Previous experience with corporate aircraft such as Falcon, Citation, and Hawker.

Possession of own tools.

Work Environment

The role is based at a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility in Augusta. The environment requires working with various aircraft technologies and equipment, often under challenging weather conditions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
