Administrative Assistant As an Administrative Assistant you will be responsible for providing a variety of administrative, clerical and project support. This role assists in the overall administration of their assigned department, function or local office.

Essential Functions & Requirements:

Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times

Greets Company visitors and informs appropriate personnel of guest arrival; assists guests as needed

Creates, updates and maintains office administration files, both soft and hard copy format

Performs accounting / bookkeeping tasks such as coding invoices and/or expense reports, creating and receiving purchase orders, and ordering office supplies

Creates correspondence, reporting and other documents as requested

Maintains responsibility for the creation and maintenance of databases, spreadsheets and presentations

Coordinates calendars for meetings, travel and office activities or special projects

Coordinates the regular maintenance of office equipment

Scans, faxes, or photocopies documents; sorts incoming mail and prepares outbound mail for distribution

Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

Education:

High-school diploma or equivalent (required)

Post-secondary experience in business or related field (preferred)

Experience:

1+ years of relevant work experience in an office support role (required)

Competencies:

Exceptional computer and data entry skills with the ability to effectively use applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and Company intranet

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Demonstrated customer service abilities; ability to maintain a professional approach and confidentiality when needed

Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
