Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Los Angeles, California. This role involves managing financial records, processing payments, and ensuring compliance with regulations while contributing to the efficiency of our accounting operations. Responsibilities:

Accurately sort, prioritize, and process premium receipts to maintain timely and efficient operations.

Perform data entry tasks for various divisions, ensuring precision and adherence to guidelines.

Organize and maintain accounting file systems through filing, scanning, and systematic storage.

Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

Manage cash applications for payments, handling medium to heavy volumes.

Collaborate with team members to support organizational goals and uphold company values.

Assist with additional duties as needed to contribute to strategic objectives.

Utilize Microsoft Excel and other tools to maintain accurate records and generate reports. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.

Proficiency in cash application processes with the ability to handle high volumes.

Exceptional typing and 10-key by touch skills.

Successful completion of a background and credit check due to handling sensitive financial information.

High school diploma required; accounting coursework preferred.

Strong skills in data entry and familiarity with Microsoft Excel.

Knowledge of accounts receivable and billing processes.
