Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Plymouth, Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of invoices and payments while maintaining compliance with financial regulations. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the success of our organization's financial operations.

Responsibilities:

Process and verify vendor invoices and payment requests with accuracy and efficiency.

Match invoices to purchase orders and swiftly address any discrepancies.

Maintain up-to-date vendor records, including verifying W-9 forms and payment terms.

Generate and review accounts payable reports to provide insights to management.

Assist in reconciling the accounts payable ledger with the general ledger.

Prepare and process outgoing payments using checks, credit cards, and other approved methods.

Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment-related issues.

Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies. Requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, such as Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.

Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial compliance.

Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Experience with invoice processing, coding, and account reconciliation.

Familiarity with check runs and payment preparation procedures.

Ability to manage data entry tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

Solid organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
