Job Title: Paralegal - Collections Litigation

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our legal team, supporting collections litigation and related legal processes. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, legal knowledge, and a passion for resolving disputes efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft and file legal documents including complaints, motions, and discovery requests.

Assist attorneys with case preparation and management for collections litigation.

Review and organize evidence, contracts, and financial records.

Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Finance, Customer Service) to gather documentation.

Monitor case deadlines and maintain accurate case tracking systems.

Communicate with courts, opposing counsel, and external partners.

Support judgment enforcement and post-litigation recovery efforts.

Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies or related field.

Paralegal certification preferred (e.g., NALA, NFPA).

2+ years of experience in collections, litigation, or civil procedure.

Familiarity with legal research tools and case management software.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in commercial collections or creditor rights.

Knowledge of FDCPA, state collection laws, and bankruptcy procedures.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
