Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Branch/Retail Banking Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Porterville, California. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient banking operations while delivering excellent customer service. If you have a strong background in retail banking and cash handling, this position offers a great opportunity to contribute to a dynamic financial services environment.

Responsibilities:

Process various banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments, with accuracy and efficiency.

Handle cash and ensure proper balancing of cash drawers at the end of each shift.

Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Assist customers with account-related services, including opening, closing, and maintenance.

Verify and reconcile financial data to maintain accurate records.

Uphold compliance with banking regulations and company policies.

Monitor and report suspicious activities to ensure security and fraud prevention.

Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless daily operations within the branch.

Educate customers about banking products and services to meet their financial needs.

Support internal processes, including audits and reporting requirements. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail or branch banking.

Proficiency in handling cash and balancing cash drawers.

Strong understanding of banking operations and financial transactions.

Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively.

Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Familiarity with banking software and systems is preferred.
