Working within the TTSTC in the External Investments area and performs senior- level fundamental investment research and analysis work. Work involves administering data collection policies and processes and preparing comprehensive and standardized reports. Position requires application support and managing the ongoing development of the Code Red investment research management system (IRMS) while searching for its replacement. The position also provides executive-level administrative support to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO). Qualifications: Minimum QualificationsGraduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelorand#8217;s degree.
8 years of experience in investment research or quantitative analysis work in an investment team.
Experience providing direct administrative support to managers and/or executive level managers.Preferred QualificationsBachelorand#8217;s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, accounting, or related field.LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONSMay be required to be registered, certified, or licensed in a specialty area.In this role you willIRMS Responsibilities, Investment Fund Set Up Reporting and Data MonitoringCoordinates requests and compiles current and historical data from prospective managers for use in quantitative and qualitative due diligence.
Provides quarterly reporting to investment staff on new investments, subscriptions and redemptions, and private funds IRR.
Provides data on new investments, redemption, and investment performance for both internal usage and external reporting
Adds reports to BackStop
Monitors the timely receipt of monthly reports, quarterly reports and financial statements from managers and third-party administrators.
Reviews incoming manager update letters, completes action items or forwards to appropriate staff for handling.
Stays abreast of RMS industry technology improvements and best practices Administrative Support for the Chief Investment OfficerManages calendars, meetings and provides administrative support for CIO and External Investments and backs up operational support for CEO
Manages and books travel for CIO to include flights, hotels, itineraries
Monitors the investments@ttstc.texas.gov mailbox
Aids in preparing documents, presentations and special projects
Archives Investment email at the end of each calendar year
Documents meetings and site visits in Backstop
Liaise with portfolio managers to ensure meetings are documented as required by management and audit
Liaise with Contracts team to ensure all external investment deadlines and requirements are met in accordance with contact terms.
Liaise with Training Coordinator to ensure CIO and Internal Investments completes required training in accordance with the Comptroller's Investment Policy.
Liaise with Training Coordinator to ensure entire Investments team completes required agency training.
Coordinates between Operations, Investments Teams and CPA Graphics on Board Book Production and follow-up
Coordinate with Business Operations and CPA Print Operations on TexPool Board Book production (quarterly).
Coordinate with Graphics to prepare monthly TESTIF One-Page Summary for the Web - 15th Day of Each Month.
Coordinate with Graphics to prepare SWIFT One-Page Summary for the Web - Quarterly after every CIAB Mtg.
Coordinate with Graphics to prepare quarterly portfolio reviews for posting on the Web after each CIAB Mtg.
Coordinate with Graphics to prepare SWIFT Portfolio Review for Texas Water Development Board Quarterly Mtg (scheduled after CIAB Mtg).
Coordinate with Graphics to prepare Annual SWIFT presentation to the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas Advisory Committee.
Prioritizes conflicting needs, adheres to deadlines and pro-actively follows through on tasks to full completion
Screens information, correspondence, and email to ensure timely responses by the CIO and communicates instructions and information effectively on behalf of the CIO
Maintains a high level of confidentiality
Interfaces with internal staff and external fund managers and vendors as appropriate in support of Investment operations
